The Electromagnetic Measurement and Imaging Laboratory is a leading research and application area within the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Istanbul Technical University. The main focus areas of the laboratory include:
- Design and implementation of high-resolution microwave imaging systems,
- Development and application of computational electromagnetic methods,
- Industry-oriented electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing,
- Antenna design and testing processes.
The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art tools, enabling a wide range of experiments, including microwave imaging (tomography), EMI-EMC tests, antenna measurements, and active-passive microwave circuit experiments.
Some of the laboratory’s key facilities include:
- A fully anechoic chamber,
- Vector network analyzer (10MHz-40GHz),
- EMC analyzer (100Hz-26.5GHz),
- 4-channel digital oscilloscope,
- 3 signal generators,
- 4 reference horn antennas,
- Rotary table system and calibration kits,
- Fiber optic cables and adapters,
- HFSS software package and high-performance computers.
This advanced infrastructure provides an ideal environment for both academic research and industrial applications.
