Ground Station Antennas
Currently, antennas operating in frequency ranges such as UHF, VHF, S-band, and X-band, along with capable ground stations and antennas, are used for satellite communication. Satellite communication is established between the ground station antenna and the satellite via modems. Communication is initiated after the necessary settings are configured through the interface on the ground station computer.
USTTL UHF VHF Yagi Uda Antenna
Our UHF-VHF Yagi-Uda antenna is installed on the roof of the Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The UHF antennas are used for command transmission and telemetry.

The satellite’s initial settings and mission operations are managed by the laboratory via the UHUZAM dish antenna. Once the required operational stage is reached, communication with the satellite—including during passes—is handed over to the project owners. Dish antennas located at centers in Sharjah, Islamabad, and UHUZAM are utilized for S-band and X-band frequency operations. These are used for tasks involving the uploading and downloading of large data packets. The technical specifications of the antenna are available on UHUZAM’s website.
